Flowers we wait for...

This sweet little wonder is Himalayan Blue Poppy. Last year she produced a single flower for us. This year she has 3 buds :) They bloom one at a time.
There are very few places that they grow well so I suppose we are lucky. I don't know if they self pollinate but I plan on collecting seeds to see if I can propagate it. We may get another plant so they can be pollinated. I just wanted to share.

Gorgeous color and lovely conformation - makes me want to create one with wet feltmaking. Wonder if I can.

Also, can see where you receive inspiration for your beautiful flower and leaf earrings. Those too have clear rich color.

I love how your creative interests mix and mingle even though the media seem so diverse.

I have seen these flowers before and I'm soooo jealous that you can grow them!! I remember from looking them up that they would not do well in my area. So beautiful!! Thank you for sharing and I hope it has a long life in your garden!
